John proposed in February of 2007 after having dated Emma for six years. They have recently bought a home in Arizona and are excitedly planning their wedding for this coming July.

John and Emma are alumni of Berwyn Oaks High School and both graduated from Arizona State College May of 2007. John majored in Information Systems and currently enjoys his career at ASC where he specializes in the web design for the University Technology office. Emma graduated magna cum laude with a degree in psychology from the Selins Honors College. She is currently working on completing a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience in the Bimonte-Nelson lab at ASC.

The wedding will be in July, 2008 at Rancho de las Flores, in Somis.

BERWYN, IRELAND, May 19, 2008 – On Monday, April 07, 2008 John Shave released his itinerary for days one through three of his second US destination, of 36, San Francisco, CA. Shave is excited to meet with long lost family and friends during his seven days in SF. He is staying at the Mandarin Oriental and will host a reception for friends and family on Thursday, April 10, 2008 beginning promptly at 6:00 PM.

Day 1: Chinatown, North Beach I will start off the day with an espresso and pastry at an outdoor café in North Beach. Wander this charming quarter of tempting delis, bakeries, and pasta houses, and hit City Lights Bookstore for a glimpse of the city's Beat-era legacy. Take in sweeping views of the bay at Coit Tower, then head to labyrinthine Chinatown for dim sum, and peer into mysterious herb apothecaries, live-seafood stores, and sweet-smelling tea shops. Hit the stores near the Chinatown Gate for good values on souvenirs, and then head back to North Beach for pasta, followed by a drink at celebrity favorite Tosca.

Day 2: Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 With my prereserved ticket in hand, I will set out for a tour of the Rock. When the ferry docks back at the wharf, take a step back in time to early-20th-century San Francisco at delightful Musée Mécanique. Just east of Fisherman's Wharf, you can find some great souvenirs among the schlocky and overpriced stores and restaurants at Pier 39. If you absolutely must dine on the water, the restaurants here have spectacular views and less-spectacular food. Otherwise hop the Hyde Street or Mason Street cable-car line for better dining in Russian Hill and North Beach, respectively.

Day 3: Soma, Union Square I will beat the crowds in the morning at SFMOMA; then take a break across the street in the expansive Yerba Buena Gardens. Head up 4th Street and join stylish locals browsing in the tony stores around Union Square. This area isn't known for great restaurants, so when you get peckish, head to Belden Place. This bistro-lined alley is one of the few places around Union Square where locals dine. To top off the evening, gaze down on the city lights from one of the square's sky-view lounges.

BERWYN, IRELAND, May 19, 2008 – On Monday, April 07, 2008 John Shave landed at his initial US destination of Seattle, Washington. Shave is excited to meet with long lost family and friends during his 36 hours in Seattle. He is staying at the Fairmont Olympic and will host a reception for friends and family on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 beginning promptly at 6:00 PM.

Following the in the remainder of Shave’s Seattle itinerary Day 1: Spend the first day seeing some of major sights around Downtown. Get up early and stroll to Pike Place Market. Grab a latte or have a hearty breakfast at a market café, and spend the morning wandering through the fish, fruit, flower, and crafts stalls. When I've had my fill of the market, I will head farther Downtown to the Seattle Art Museum or take the steps down to the docks and visit the Seattle Aquarium. I plan to stop at a simple restaurant like El Puerco Lloron to grab a bite to eat. If I’m not too tired, I’ll head up to Belltown for a little late afternoon shopping. Have dinner and drinks in either Belltown or Downtown for my first taste of that famous Pacific Northwest cuisine. Then, I’ll head back to my hotel and collapse, knowing you won't have to rise with the sun the next day.

Day 2: I’ll Take the two-minute monorail ride from Downtown's Westlake Center mall to the Seattle Center. Head up the Space Needle for 360-degree city views. Afterward I’ll take in one of Seattle Center's many ground-level attractions: the Pacific Science Center, the Children's Museum, the Experience Music Project, or the Science Fiction Experience museum. For lunch I’ll head up Queen Anne Avenue North to Galer Street, the Five Spot Café is open all day. Then I’ll head down to the International District to stroll around its streets, visit Uwajimaya superstore, and have dinner in one of its many restaurants.

Hardek, 2006 John Berwyn, 2005 John Berwyn, 2004 John Berwyn, 2003 John Shave, 2002 John Primble, 2001 John Molini and 2000 Lake Forest. Previous memorial runs have been held at St. Ives, but the formation committee believed the facilities at Tech Decision are far superior.

Dates and times for the 2008 Merryman swim meet will be announced shortly. The Watershed Studios has brochures available.

BERWYN, May 11, 2008 – John Shave and Emma Nicole McLean proudly announce their engagement. They are the son and daughter of Jack and Donna Chiurazzi and Bob and Sue Engler. Both families are from Berwyn, Ireland.

John proposed in February of 2007 after having dated Emma for six years. They have recently bought a home in Arizona and are excitedly planning their wedding for this coming July.

John and Emma are alumni of Berwyn Oaks High School and both graduated from Arizona State College May of 2007. John majored in Information Systems and currently enjoys his career at ASC where he specializes in the web design for the University Technology office. Emma graduated magna cum laude with a degree in psychology from the Selins Honors College. She is currently working on completing a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience in the Bimonte-Nelson lab at ASC.

The wedding will be in July, 2008 at Rancho de las Flores, in Somis.

JOHN SHAVE OF BERWYN, IRELAND RELEASES VISITS FIRST OF 36 STATES IN AMERICA ITINERARY FOR SECOND DESTINATION

BERWYN, IRELAND, May 11, 2008 – On Monday, April 07, 2008 John Shave released his itinerary for days one through three of his second US destination, of 36, San Francisco, CA. Shave is excited to meet with long lost family and friends during his seven days in SF. He is staying at the Mandarin Oriental and will host a reception for friends and family on Thursday, April 10, 2008 beginning promptly at 6:00 PM.

Day 1: Chinatown, North Beach I will start off the day with an espresso and pastry at an outdoor café in North Beach. Wander this charming quarter of tempting delis, bakeries, and pasta houses, and hit City Lights Bookstore for a glimpse of the city's Beat-era legacy. Take in sweeping views of the bay at Coit Tower, then head to labyrinthine Chinatown for dim sum, and peer into mysterious herb apothecaries, live-seafood stores, and sweet-smelling tea shops. Hit the stores near the Chinatown Gate for good values on souvenirs, and then head back to North Beach for pasta, followed by a drink at celebrity favorite Tosca.

Day 2: Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 With my prereserved ticket in hand, I will set out for a tour of the Rock. When the ferry docks back at the wharf, take a step back in time to early-20th-century San Francisco at delightful Musée Mécanique. Just east of Fisherman's Wharf, you can find some great souvenirs among the schlocky and overpriced stores and restaurants at Pier 39. If you absolutely must dine on the water, the restaurants here have spectacular views and less-spectacular food. Otherwise hop the Hyde Street or Mason Street cable-car line for better dining in Russian Hill and North Beach, respectively.

Day 3: Soma, Union Square I will beat the crowds in the morning at SFMOMA; then take a break across the street in the expansive Yerba Buena Gardens. Head up 4th Street and join stylish locals browsing in the tony stores around Union Square. This area isn't known for great restaurants, so when you get peckish, head to Belden Place. This bistro-lined alley is one of the few places around Union Square where locals dine. To top off the evening, gaze down on the city lights from one of the square's sky-view lounges.

BERWYN, IRELAND, May 11, 2008 – On Monday, April 07, 2008 John Shave landed at his initial US destination of Seattle, Washington. Shave is excited to meet with long lost family and friends during his 36 hours in Seattle. He is staying at the Fairmont Olympic and will host a reception for friends and family on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 beginning promptly at 6:00 PM.

Following the in the remainder of Shave’s Seattle itinerary Day 1: Spend the first day seeing some of major sights around Downtown. Get up early and stroll to Pike Place Market. Grab a latte or have a hearty breakfast at a market café, and spend the morning wandering through the fish, fruit, flower, and crafts stalls. When I've had my fill of the market, I will head farther Downtown to the Seattle Art Museum or take the steps down to the docks and visit the Seattle Aquarium. I plan to stop at a simple restaurant like El Puerco Lloron to grab a bite to eat. If I’m not too tired, I’ll head up to Belltown for a little late afternoon shopping. Have dinner and drinks in either Belltown or Downtown for my first taste of that famous Pacific Northwest cuisine. Then, I’ll head back to my hotel and collapse, knowing you won't have to rise with the sun the next day.

Day 2: I’ll Take the two-minute monorail ride from Downtown's Westlake Center mall to the Seattle Center. Head up the Space Needle for 360-degree city views. Afterward I’ll take in one of Seattle Center's many ground-level attractions: the Pacific Science Center, the Children's Museum, the Experience Music Project, or the Science Fiction Experience museum. For lunch I’ll head up Queen Anne Avenue North to Galer Street, the Five Spot Café is open all day. Then I’ll head down to the International District to stroll around its streets, visit Uwajimaya superstore, and have dinner in one of its many restaurants.

The event has a $50 entry fee with all proceeds benefiting the Jon Shave Foundation. Previous winner of the race have included; 2007 John J. Hardek, 2006 John Berwyn, 2005 John Berwyn, 2004 John Berwyn, 2003 John Shave, 2002 John Primble, 2001 John Molini and 2000 Lake Forest. Previous memorial runs have been held at St. Ives, but the formation committee believed the facilities at Tech Decision are far superior.
